What This Position is All About:
The Hudson’s Bay General Manager is a business leader who is passionate about driving profitable sales, leading an exceptional service focused customer experience, and is able to execute the Hudson’s Bay strategy through effective management of people and process. Dynamic leadership abilities, combined with exceptional communication, analytical, and in-store marketing skills are essential to success in this role.

You are a true influencer, someone who can effectively communicate and build relationships across all levels of the organization

You develop short and long term action plans that address opportunities and positively impact the business

You lead by example, and can easily maintain your composure under pressure

You utilize your strong communication skills to inspire, direct, and lead your team

You develop the store leadership team and focus on succession planning to ensure continued growth and development is a part of the store culture

You align with the Company’s strategic vision and ensure the leadership team and associates are focused on achieving specific targets

You are ultimately accountable for overall customer satisfaction, associate engagement, delivering sales and profit results, and creating a safe environment for customers and associates.

You Also Have:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university is an asset

Minimum of 7+ years of retail management experience and profit & loss responsibility

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Proven ability to set strategic vision and execute for results

Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to diffuse challenging situations

As the General Manager, You Will:
Galvanize and cultivate a culture that ensures the customer is at the center of every single decision and action

Ensure service, merchandising, and operational standards are met to maximize sales

Leading your team to deliver a profitable store business plan

Drive profitable sales through forecasting, scheduling and management of P&L

Elevate the service level by establishing a best in class, customer obsessed training process

Build and execute development plans to drive optimal performance for all direct reports

Build a succession plan by identifying internal talent within the executive and associate groups, and make it a priority to make them successful
