0830-1700, 1200-2030, 1230, 2100
Days off: Sunday, every other Wednesday, and statutory holidays.

As a Travel Clinic Assistant with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:
Play a significant role in ensuring that clients have a positive experience with the designated service within a fast paced, high volume clinic environment.
Perform administrative support functions such as:
scheduling and confirming client appointments
greeting clients and visitors
inputting client information into computerized client information systems
typing technical and non-technical material
composing and signing correspondence
responding to general inquiries related to the Travel Clinic
Assist the community/public health nurse and other team members in the organization and operation of immunization clinics.

Education & Experience
Grade 12, Medical Office Assistant Certificate supplemented by one (1) year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Valid BC Drivers License. Local area travel requires the use of a personal vehicle for which mileage will be reimbursed.
Knowledge & Abilities
Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
Knowledge and proficiency in relevant software. (Word, Excel, graphic applications)
Ability to keyboard 5,000 keystrokes per hour.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work independently and effectively with others.
Ability to be sensitive, tactful and diplomatic with clients and the public.
Ability to organize and prioritize work and deal effectively with changing priorities.
Ability to compile information.
Ability to perform relevant calculations.
Ability to operate related equipment.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
