Temporary Contract Up to 3.3 FTE Speech Language-Pathology – Pending Budget Approval

April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021

OPSEU 258 salary range for Speech Language Pathologist is $ 36.28 to $41.57per hour

KidsAbility is currently seeking individuals to fill vacancies within the Speech Language-Pathology Discipline assigned to support the Early Years Program (2.6 FTE) assigned to any of our sites based on operational needs, Augmentative Communication Services (0.5 FTE) based in Waterloo, and Autism Spectrum Disorder Team (0.2 FTE) based in Cambridge. Must be available to work on Thursdays and Fridays to support ASD team needs.

The goal of Speech-Language Pathology services at KidsAbility is to support early identification and intervention in order to enhance the communication skills of children in partnership with their families and community. KidsAbility provides assessment, treatment, consultation and advocacy focused on communication issues, by providing family support, information and access to additional community services as appropriate.


Master’s degree of Speech-Language Pathology; registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario; proven ability and willingness to work as an integral member of a team, excellent oral and written communication skills; computer skills and strong time management skills. Experience with children who have a variety of developmental, physical and communicative disorders and who have alternate and augmentative communication needs and/or feeding/swallowing needs. Training in a Hanen entry program (It Takes Two to Talk, More Than Words, Learning Language and Loving It) is beneficial. Training in Foundations course and ADP Individual Authorizer an asset. Experience working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) an asset. You must have access to a reliable vehicle with public liability/property damage coverage.
