Canadian Geological Drilling Ltd is a well established geotechnical and environmental drilling firm in the Edmonton Area. CGDL has been operating for 43 years and still growing. We are currently looking for drilling assistants to join our company who has strong work ethic, are dependable and safety minded at all times.
A driller's assistant works under the direct supervision of driller and his duties entail handling, installing and maintaining tools required for borehole drilling and soil sampling. Mechanical and welding experience an asset as employees will need to perform routine maintenance work on drilling rigs and equipment. You will be performing physical labour all year round and are required for perform heavy lifting.
The starting wage for this position is $23.00 per hour with health benefits after 6 months of employment. We also offer advancement opportunities for qualified individuals. Employees must have a flexible schedule and willing to work out of town. High school or equivalent is required for employment. No drilling experience necessary but an asset. Good driving record is required and a valid driver's license. Applicants must have their own transportation to and from work. Drug and alcohol testing is mandatory for pre-employment and also a requirement for our clients during employment.
