We are looking for a hardworking, committed, experienced Maintenance Co-ordinator to join our fun, innovative and diverse team.

The successful candidate will:

  • Maintenance coordination for Housing Co-op’s and Non-Profit Society’s (approximately 10-14 buildings)
  • Managing Handyperson calendar
  • Daily/weekly coordination and scheduling of Handyperson
  • Coordinating with residents for access for the Handyperson
  • Coordinating delivery of notices for trades and projects
  • Scheduling annual maintenance
  • Coordinating move-in and move-out maintenance
  • Coordinate/assign/obtain quotes with trades
  • Ensure maintenance data base and unit/common area maintenance files are accurate and up to-date
  • Compiling monthly maintenance into reports
  • Regular check-in’s with Property Managers, to relay maintenance updates
  • Emergency/after hours on-call
  • Quality assurance of repairs by both trades and Handyperson(s)
  • Attendance at onsite evening maintenance meetings (approximately 1-3/month)
  • Site inspections

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication
  • Outstanding customer service skills – able to communicate professionally with people from all walks of life
  • Solid knowledge base of residential housing systems and components
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to balance priorities
  • Familiar with multi-unit building maintenance coordination
  • Flexible, friendly and have a professional attitude
  • Valid Canadian drivers licence
  • Computer skills including MS Office, Outlook, along with general PC and iPhone understanding

Remuneration:

  • Up to 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday
  • $18/hour to start, plus mileage reimbursement
