Airport Station Manager

  • We are currently seeking an experienced Airport Station Manager to join our team in conjunction with our expansion into the Montréal–Trudeau International Airport , Montreal Canada (YUL).

About the Role:

This position is responsible for the following:

  • Lead and direct all day-to-day customer service and operational activities for an international operation at Montréal–Trudeau International Airport.
  • Quality control of services by third party handling companies
  • Manage irregularities and contingency plans
  • Represent TAP Portugal to the customer

What you’ll do:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Guarantee the proper operation of third party handling in the following areas:
  • Checking in of passengers and luggage
  • Passenger assistance on arrival/departure of flights
  • Compliance of all safety/security regulations
  • Sell and issue tickets and make reservations
  • Process lost articles and damaged baggage claims
  • Assist crew members
  • Ramp operation, including moving, maintenance, fueling of aircraft and loading of baggage and cargo.
  • Catering
  • Security
  • Ensure safety by implementing, monitoring the company’s regulations
  • Day-to-day management and oversight of operations, people and operating budget
  • Interact with airport authorities, government agencies, airline customers and external organizations
  • Enforce company policies, procedures and regulations
  • Drive and increase performance and productivity
  • Accountable for reliability, customer service delivery, fostering positive vendor / handling company relations, cost management, and regulatory compliance

Our Perfect Candidate

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years of relevant experience in the Airline Industry
  • Strong working knowledge of airline operations
  • Fluent inEnglish, French, and Portuguese

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated with ability to multi-task
  • Creative and innovative to improve delivery of service excellence
  • Superior problem-solving, conflict management and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated communication, leadership and analytical skills; ability to develop effective relationships at all levels
  • Reliable and Flexible work ethic
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
