As a Senior Advisor, Investment Product Tax Management, you will contribute to the application of tax legislation. You will also take part in design, development, implementation and monitoring activities to balance business needs, tax efficiency, regulatory compliance and best practices. You will coordinate the production of tax slips for Desjardins Group investment products and verify that accounting and financial practices comply with tax rules.
You will take on a leadership and influencer role when interacting with the various stakeholders on assignments and projects that involve highly innovative, interdepartmental strategic and complex input and development. You will help develop and recommend strategic directions and business positions. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your field.
You will make recommendations on the development and completion of assignments and projects with a very high degree of operational and conceptual complexity, which will require analysis and a comprehensive, deep understanding of the business and the organization. Coordination will be critical, and you will be required to interact with a large number of stakeholders in a variety of fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.
You will serve as an expert advisor and subject matter expert in your field, as well as a resource person and coach for your unit, senior management and decision-making bodies.
Plan, execute and monitor activities for producing tax slips for Desjardins Group investment products.
Advise and assist your clients and partners with positioning, planning, development, implementation and follow‑up of various strategic projects and initiatives under your responsibility.
Oversee the development and updating of policies, standards, models and programs to support your unit’s strategic projects and mandates.
Identify and analyze problems, address major issues, develop diagnostics and make recommendations to the decision-making bodies concerned.
Represent your unit in dealings with senior management committees and decision-making bodies.
Represent Desjardins when negotiating and committing to agreements with partners or external organizations.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field
A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
Master’s degree in taxation (an asset)
Experience in taxation related to investment products
