The Rocky Mountain House Health Centre is an active rural hospital. We provide 24 hour Emergency Services, Obstetric & Surgical services, as well as maintain 31 Acute Care beds. The local Emergency Department provides emergency services to a community population base of more than 20,000. This includes the Town of Rocky Mountain House, Clearwater County, Nordegg and the Sunchild, O'Chiese and Bighorn First Nation Communities. Working within a multidisciplinary team of compassionate and dedicated health care professionals, the Health Care Aide will competently provide direct patient and family centered care to clients across the life span. You will be responsible for the implementation of direct and indirect quality patient care following policies and guidelines of Alberta Health Services. You will be expected to demonstrate a professional and positive attitude with excellent communication while prioritizing conflicting demands. You accept responsibility for continuing competencies through ongoing professional development, including participation in education programs, and continuous improvement activities. As a Health Care Aide (HCA) - Nursing Attendant, you are responsible for providing personal assistance, supporting activities of daily living and providing comfort and support services to patients (clients, residents) who require short-term assistance or ongoing support. You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers spanning the continuum of care in home, community or health care facilities. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
