General Summary..

The main function of the H&S Advisor (Compensation) will be to act as an expert in the management of health and safety claims. Participate in the development of existing programs and policies. Participate in training activities and lead them if necessary.

This position will be responsible for..

Manage employee work accident files and make requests to the CNESST;

Ensure the smooth running of cases at the different levels of dispute;

Prepare cost sharing requests to be submitted to the CSST;

Responsible for the management of hourly staff on temporary assignment;

Management of safety shoes, first aiders in the workplace and the “good behavior” file;

Produce data and reports related to its field of expertise;

Participate in internal security audits and the audit process carried out by the head office;

Participate in safety investigations and inspections;

Attend the activities of joint health and safety committees;

Write and update various corporate health and safety reports (SFAR, etc.)

Ensure the monthly follow-up of repair files at the financial level;

Perform all other tasks and responsibilities assigned by management.


Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent;

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in health and safety particularly in management of compensation files;

Oral and written bilingualism compulsory;

Proficiency in MS Office;

In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations governing occupational health and safety;

Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills;

Excellent communication skills;

Ability to work under pressure;

Good analytical skills;

Priority management.
