An exciting opportunity exists in St. Paul, Alberta! St. Paul is located approximately 200 km northeast of Edmonton. The area is home to approximately 6000 people. St. Paul is along the southern leg of the Iron Horse Trail - 300 km of former railroad that has been adapted for hiking, biking, horseback riding, quadding, or snowmobiling. If trails aren't for you, they also offer both indoor and outdoor ice rinks, a curling rink, a riding barn and fair grounds, tennis courts, golf course, ball diamonds and soccer fields. Camping, fishing and other lake activities are in abundance as there are many, many beautiful lakes surrounding our town.

Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to identify mental health conditions and knowledge regarding appropriate interventions related to psychiatry.

Preferred Qualifications:
Current NVCI - (training will be booked if not current). Strong communication skills and ability to perform within high stress situations.
