General Summary.....

The main function of the OPS (assist operations) forklift operator will be to be able to move the pallets, help prepare for busy periods, help with functions relating to inventory control and deal with discrepancies.

This position will be responsible for...…..

Print, apply and scan labels using the RF scanner;

Inventory and replenish the picking and reserve areas;

Enter data into the inventory management system as needed;

Safely operate the handling equipment (manual or electric pallet truck, forklift and clamp counterbalance forklift, retractable forklift and command selector)

Comply with security procedures at all times;

Adjust, correct and keep the inventory up to date;

Manage the various inventory control reports (packaging control, picking error, anomalies);

Strategically place the products for efficient picking;

Manage the cancellations of each cycle and ensure the correct operation of the pickup;

Receive and move product in order to meet the requirements of the schedule;

Create, modify, delete or prioritize product movements;

Participate in improving performance and increasing efficiency;

Handle and pick the products with VoCollect or WMS (SOGE) system to receive, dispatch or palletize them, according to operational needs;

Perform all other tasks and responsibilities assigned by management.

Ability to drive safely several types of forklift (including retractable forklifts);
Excellent knowledge of the operation of our distribution center (work areas, types of activities);
Ability to work in a team, and handle stressors and to manage priorities;
Sense of initiative and organization, autonomy, versatility and flexibility;
Care for quality, precision and safety;
Excellent analytical mind;
Good listening and communication skills;
Ability to respect procedures and deadlines;
Extensive IT knowledge (Manugistic, YardSmart, AOM, DCCS, IMS, Windows 2007, Suite Office);
Ability to solve problems;
Customer service oriented;
1 to 2 years of warehouse experience;
Experience in inventory control (an asset);
Bilingualism Oral and written.

Ability to lift/carry items less than 25 pounds.
