Job Description:
Bandstra Transportation Systems Ltd. is seeking a talented Logistics Manager for its Prince Rupert Terminal. This individual will be responsible for key decision making of container movements, freight handling, and third party coordination related to container and project freight business between the Port of Prince Rupert and Western Canada or beyond.

Job Summary:
· Source, initiate, and execute logistic movements for customers and colleagues;
· Participate and manage small and large project work opportunities from initial lead to scope completion;
· Develop a network of customers, interline carriers and various supporting ports and terminals
· Communication directly with customers and internal teams to supply proper notifications about inbound and active shipments
· Identify, share and pursue sales opportunities with the Logistics team and Senior Management
· Negotiate services and rates with customers and carriers as required;
· Strategize best utilization of company assets and resource when executing shipments
· Monitor and forecast shipping schedules to minimize demurrage costs and maximize delivery velocity
· Work closely with local Operations Management
· Promote safety advocacy and awareness contributing to Bandstra’s Safety Culture
