As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will support Miovision employees’ desktop support needs along with system account support. You will be the primary contact for the IT Service Desk and work directly with employees providing troubleshooting and task-based solutions ensuring uptime and efficiency throughout the business. You will also be the primary contact for all new hire setup including desktop configuration and account activation/creation. In support of the larger Miovision employee base, this role will assist with supply and materials ordering and vendor management.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Primary point of contact for employees requesting IT assistance
  • Ownership for Miovision’s IT Service Desk ticketing system and end-user support
  • Escalating Service Desk tickets requests to tier-2 support
  • Onboarding of new employees including workstation setup and account creation/management
  • Server provisioning and maintenance
  • Troubleshooting Windows 10, Server 2012R2/2016/2019, MacOS and Ubuntu workstation and network issues
  • After-hours on-call support
  • Management of Directory Services (AD, GPO, DNS)
  • Managing Enterprise distributed applications such as Anti-virus solutions including access and permission control
Skills Required:
  • Detail-oriented when completing tasks
  • Customer-focused ideally with previous experience in an experience in a service role
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Previous hands-on technology experience
  • Proficient with Windows and MacOS workstations
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with Gsuite and Office 365
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence
  • Ability to document standard operating procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
