We are open to all candidates across the US and Canada, with preference for those located in Vancouver, BC or San Jose, CA

Responsibilities Include:
Extending, implementing, and monitoring consistent security practices and standards across Engineering
Involves practices across requirements phases, within development and QA teams, and in production (e.g. how software is reviewed for security issues, how we evaluate security threats along the product development cycle (in code, in dev and QA environments)) - this role would set those standards, inspect, and monitor them
Responding to security issues (such as pen test reports) identified by customers, internal employees, or other teams
Driving resolution across Engineering to prioritize/resolve/mitigate
Collaborating with the security/CISO office and negotiating time frames
Ensuring Engineering is on track and meeting commitments in response
Collaborating with the architecture team to establish design patterns that will promote security and privacy by design
Performing and participating in design/code reviews with a focus on security and privacy areas
Performing ongoing security testing and threat modeling to improve software security
Identifying, measuring, and reporting on security risks on a regular basis and providing software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities as needed
Being the prime focal point for security-related items within Engineering, presenting and leading security focus across the department
Being up to date on security issues, threats, and the industry in general; apply knowledge back to the organization
Being a hands-on leader and influence the product development organization in order to ensure continuous improvements for security practices and quality
Strong communication; able to adjust communication style depending on situation and audience
Representing Engineering in front of customers, executives, and other departments
Collaborating and leading across the board including Dev and QA teams, Program/Product managers and other Project Team members

What You Will Need:
Successful track record in the Software Industry, launching and shipping products
Strong and proven track record in software security area, approaches and techniques – penetration testing, security testing, threat modelling etc. and end user platforms
Ability to collaborate across the board including Dev and QA teams, Program/Product managers and other Project Team members
Keen interest/experience improving efficiency in software security.
Proficient in Software Development principles and methodologies such as Agile
10+ years experience in software development and/or security area
Proven professional experience working with the Cloud technology, Java, and endpoints Windows, Linux, Mobile
Excellent communication skills
Experience in endpoint security, iOT security, or other areas
Experience in working with teams across multiple locations and time zones
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math Engineering or equivalent
