Job description
CAMPGROUND MAINTENANCE-WILLEY WEST CAMPGROUND
Willey West Campground is located approximately 5 minutes from Drayton Valley nestled in the beautiful valleys of Brazeau County. We offer fully serviced, power only and non-power sites for tent, trailer and RV camping.
Position: Campground Maintenance
Position Type: Fulltime Seasonal
The Campground Maintenance crew is a temporary seasonal employee(s) that helps maintain Willey West Campground’s property and lawn maintenance. This position includes but is not limited to the following: Cutting grass, weed whipping, picking up leaves, cleaning campsites and cleaning washrooms. This position can also help in the office/store, customer service, operates gates and assists with events.
Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License
- Have their own transportation to work
- Ability to drive a golf cart/ ATV Utility Vehicle
- Ability to operate riding lawn tractors, weed whipper, other landscaping equipment
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to work outside in varied weather conditions
- Keen eye for small detail is a must
- Strong work ethic (very labour intensive and a lot of walking)
- Experience in painting and use with power equipment is an asset
- Able to work alone
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- lawn and garden maintenance
- operating lawn tractors and zero-turn machines
- operating landscaping equipment: such as weed whippers and leaf blowers
- landscaping
- cleaning campsites
- cleaning out fire pits
- cleaning washrooms
- garbage pickup (garbage bins, recycling work etc)
- general customer service throughout the campground
- Carpentry or plumbing skills are bonus
- Ability to job share other positions as required to support the overall operations of the campground
- Duties as requested
- Campground season runs from April-October 2023
