As part of Manufacturing, you'll use your skills, our systems and a wide array of raw materials to help create the delicious finished products our consumers love. Service the operation areas with the correct raw and packaging materials. Empty and remove full trays of product and finished goods in order to keep the processing and packaging areas running smoothly during the shift.
Works in a manufacturing environment with varying levels of noise and with a requirement to wear company mandated uniform and safety equipment such as safety shoes, ear plugs, hair net and lab coat.
Work in a safe competent manner, following rules and procedures as required as outlined in the Plant Safety Policies. Report any unsafe condition to Line Lead. Have working knowledge of various safety programs as per the New Hire Orientation.
Responsible for the correct operation of the raw-material trough feeding operation which includes the mixer - proof room - AGVs - chuncker systems. Guarantee dough is picked, stored and used within the proper conditions of humidity, moisture, lay-time and temperature according to the specification limits
Transport all the packaging waste generated in packaging area into the compactor by following proper material management principles such as First Expire, First Out (FEFO).
Responsible for the good conditions, cleaning and inspection of the compactor room, proof room, AGVs units, power truckers, main drive ways, wash bay, red bin and dough through
Constant observation of the designated area. Early identification of deviation from normal conditions as well as its reasons in order to avoid damages and losses (refers to i.e. machines, equipment, raw material, energy)
Early information of supervisors and colleagues about defects, improvements, changes of a machine and raw material
Prevention of defects, incidents and losses (i.e. raw material, packaging, products, energy, human resources)
Complete the proper equipment inspections to safely operate energized equipment at the site
Complete the proper count, identification and transportation of the company store product at the end of every shift
Place any broken pallets in the designated garbage areas around the processing and packaging areas.
Place any excess pallets in the designated areas in the shipping areas.
Ensure that Proof room all processing and packaging areas are kept neat and clean. Dirty rags, cardboard, floor spills, dirty trays and any general congestion will be tidied up.
Must follow all Plant safety procedures, specially to follow safety procedures when driving a power truck and to avoid damaging the equipment and company property due to improper driving
Must follow all plant quality policies and ensure that Good Manufacturing Procedures are followed.
Support the operations team during the AM activities of the line
Report any unsafe conditions
Other duties as assigned by the area and when the support is needed when cleaning general areas or other equipment as per instruction
Making sure the floors are clean every shift including the oven pathways, behind mixers etc.
Clean the proof room floors every shift.
Clean the wash bay and making sure all cleaning materials are stored properly.
Clean compactors every shift
Clean packaging and HOL floors
Perform general cleaning of equipment and areas
They must have at least basic understanding of machine processes (E.G. Mixing, Forming) so they can assist the operators when necessary.
Help to clean the line during downtime or periods of intervention.
Keep work area neat and tidy at all times. Personal hygiene, clean uniforms and Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE).
Must take direction from the Line Leaders in production areas, Line Managers, or any competent person regarding any reasonable requirement for the purpose of achieving manufacturing goals, quality standards and safety requirements.
High School Graduated
Minimum 1 year of experience operating a powered pallet truck
Walkie Rider, Reach and Counterbalance license
Minimum 1 year of functional warehouse worker experience
Must be able to read and comprehend different types of written documents in English
Must be able to accurately record receiving documentation as necessary in English
Knowledge of other job classifications in packaging department
Physically agile and able to move with manual dexterity in fast-paced environment
Strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills are required
A good attitude and a willingness to learn is a must
Proven ability to work under pressure
Understanding of FEFO principles
Knowledge of other job classifications in packaging department
Have working knowledge of various safety programs; Demonstrated ability to work in a safe competent manner, follow all GMP guidelines; safety rules and procedures as required.
Must be a strong performer who demonstrates reliability, an excellent attendance record, strong self-directed individual and group work ethic.
