Reporting to the Supervisor, Electrodiagnostic Services, and working in a computerized environment, the OR Electroneurophysiology (ENP) Technologist performs multi-disciplinary electroneurophysiological (ENP) tests, including IntraOperative NeuroMonitoring (IONM), electroencephalograms, evoked potentials, electronystagmograms, and nerve conduction studies. Performs tasks assigned by physicians in the execution of electromyographs.
Education, Training And Experience
Graduation from a recognized program in Electroneurophysiology Technology; completion of additional IntraOperative NeuroMonitoring (IONM) training and education; current certification with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalograph Technologists (CBRET) or the American Board of Electroencephalograph Technologists (ABRET); and two (2) years recent related experience in an acute hospital setting.
Eligible for membership in the British Columbia Society of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (BCSET) or the Association of Electromyography Technologists of Canada (AETC).
