We're looking for a Specialist to join our talented and diverse Marketing & Communications (M&C) team that informs, inspires and engages our members and HOOPP employees every day. In this role, you will be responsible for recommending and executing strategic digital communication solutions across various digital channels based on actionable insights from reports developed internally.

Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct research, make recommendations, and implement online marketing strategies and campaigns that support external initiatives.
Recommend, write and populate digital content (including front-end design elements) for HOOPP's website and member portal to ensure an optimal user experience.
Analyze, review and maintain hoopp.com pages for user experience issues, search engine viability and content effectiveness with an ongoing mandate to either consolidate, decommission or enhance content.
Liaise with our IT partners to escalate technical issues and for development support and expertise to improve the user experience.
Assist in the execution of the user testing program, including user management and communication.
Write and populate meta data (titles, descriptions, etc.) into HOOPP's content management system to optimize content for search engines.
Keep pace with digital marketing trends and review user data to help inform digital recommendations.
Collaborate with the broader M&C team within an agile environment to support communication campaigns
Build and maintain positive working relationships with M&C team members and key internal stakeholders, as needed.

Email marketing:
Create and deploy mass email communication campaigns and provide recommendations for A/B testing and future improvements to campaigns based on campaign analytics.
Develop email strategies for external initiatives, making the most of the email platform's capabilities.

Social media:
Develop content for HOOPP's social media channels and identify opportunities for engagement.
Ensure HOOPP's social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) are consistently monitored using the appropriate escalation process and updated regularly.
Liaise with various internal groups to help drive the social media strategies for each platform.
Work with stakeholders to develop strategic social media content for communications.
Keep abreast of social media trends, best practices to help drive ideas to engage each audience group.

Qualifications
University degree/and or College diploma in a discipline such as Business, Communications, Advertising, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 3 years’ corporate Marketing and/or Communications experience with a comprehensive knowledge of copywriting, web analytics, search engine optimization and content management principles, tools and techniques.
Comprehensive understanding of website content management systems (CMS) and ability to manage and understand a variety of technical features to support SEO and the population of visually rich formatted content.
Sound knowledge of digital marketing methodologies: User experience (UX), desktop vs mobile design, email marketing and analytics.
Experience with social media tools (Sprout Social, Meltwater) and web analytics platforms (i.e. Google Analytics, Moz), to help drive campaign performance.
Solid understanding and experience of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
Experience in email marketing, campaign development and strong knowledge of best practices, and tools (i.e. MailChimp, Dotdigital).
Working knowledge and prior experience with CMS (i.e. Wordpress, Sitefinity) platforms
Basic understanding of HTML, JavaScript and CSS is an asset
Experience working within an agile/scrum environment is an asset
Understanding of AODA requirements as they apply to email and web design
Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) principles to help drive better search results
Proven ability to perform effectively in a team-oriented environment, under pressure and with time sensitive deadlines.
Ability to work in a high-performance culture, with an openness to constantly evolving and changing priorities, and new challenges.
Excellent analytical and project management skills.
An ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
