Based in downtown Montreal, you will report to the Manager, Administration and Accounting. The incumbent will work in the Pension Asset Management team and will contribute to the accounting and administrative efficiency of the service by performing various accounting and coordination tasks. The team is responsible for managing Bombardier pension funds globally (assets of $10 billion US for more than 30 defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) plans in Canada, the UK, the US, etc.).

In your role as Accounting technician, Pension Asset Management, you will:

Verify, reconcile and analyze cash flows of the pension plans, liaising with Bombardier’s HR departments when necessary

Verify, compile and analyze financial information used to prepare the pension plans’ financial statements and the actuarial valuations of the various pension plans

Prepare and compile necessary information to complete the Quarterly Survey of Trusteed Pension Funds (Statistics Canada) and other annual governmental returns

Prepare daily portfolio values and asset allocation reports in comparison to statements of investment policies

Prepare instructions to investment managers, custodians and foreign exchange and interest rate swap counterparties

Reconcile internally managed portfolios reports to custodian reports and transaction statements

Prepare various analysis and reconciliations upon request

Participate in following legal requirements with regard to contracts between the pension plans and the counterparties, international markets, etc…

Coordinate and oversee the quarterly monitoring of the investment managers’ compliance certificates and daily compliance reports

Assist the Pension Asset Management team, in the planning and organization of pension committees and annual meetings and in the preparation of documents for these meetings

Participate in special projects

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

You have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting or in the custody or investment management field

You are organized, conscientious, rigorous, meticulous and autonomous

You have a strong aptitude in analyzing

You demonstrate team spirit and establish good relationships with your colleagues

You possess excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook software in a Windows environment

You demonstrate the ability to maintain and develop your skills in a constantly changing environment

You possess excellent knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written
