As a Team Lead- Food Service II (FS II) within Retail Food Services (RFS), you have the opportunity to empower and lead the team to deliver operational excellence in all aspects of the business, including customer service, food preparation, floor management, and financial results. The Team Lead - Food Service II (FSII) works within a team environment and provides work-related guidelines/direction to Food Service I (FSI) workers and act as in scope lead position in the absence of a supervisor. Team Lead will support the upkeep of RFS outlets and ensure compliance of standards by participating in audits, inspection, and implementing corrective actions. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine tasks associated with basic food preparation and delivery of service in accordance with AHS standards and procedures. The Team Lead will need to demonstrate competencies relating to: self-awareness, the ability to Lead with Care, and effective communication skills. Team Lead will promote and reinforce behaviors to provide an outstanding experience to our clients; support issue resolution; work in a fast-paced environment with speed and accuracy; demonstrate organizing and time management skills under pressure in high-stress situations; perform decision-making as per in-scope Lead classification. Team lead will also perform specialized duties which may include inventory & waste control; providing customer service support; ensuring cash handling & PCI compliances; assist in job training FS I to implement changes; identifies areas of improvement, and execute job activities as distributed by the Supervisor.
As a Food Service II, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine tasks associated with basic food preparation in accordance with AHS standards and procedures. Your typical duties include packaging and portioning food items, preparing food according to set guidelines and menus, serving meals to patients and customers and cleaning and sanitizing equipment, dishes, tables and serving areas. In addition, you will perform specialized duties which may include ingredient/inventory controls and providing customer service support.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of a safe food handling certificate from an accredited food services program. Computer skill level to meet requirements of food service programs (For example, CBORD).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with inventory-waste control measures, cash handling, WHMIS and Industrial Food Service Equipment. Physically capable of lifting food, supplies, and equipment up to 46 lbs and must be able to push/pull meal carts up to 250lbs and standing on hard floors throughout the shift. The candidate must also be able to perform repetitive movements.
Minimum 2 years of work-related experience as a Lead, Supervisor role in a commercial Food Service, Restaurant, or Health Care setting is preferred. Customer service – Pro serve and Food Safe certification or equivalent.
