About Our Opportunity
The Communication, and Technology Services (CTS) Division of Nova Scotia Digital Services (NSDS) branch is responsible for the delivery of effective, efficient and secure infrastructure services to provincial Government and Health sector clients. The Manager of Windows Infrastructure is accountable to lead all Windows Server Services for the Government of Nova Scotia. This position will lead through strategic thinking, communicating vision and fostering a work culture that encourages new ideas and innovation.
The Manager of Windows Infrastructure will support direct reports and provide direction to empower staff for success.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for all windows server services that are available to our clients in a fast-pasted environment;
Support change while delivering high quality, cost-effective CTS services while striving to exceed clients’ needs;
Consult on windows server infrastructure needing analysis and strategic planning;
Be a leader of innovation that empowers employees to deliver on technical solutions;
Be a leader that cares and supports a team of over 16 employees’ through career development; promotes engagement and lead by example while supporting diversity and a healthy workplace;
Support and coach team members to provide best in class infrastructure services to clients.
To be successful in this position, you will have a university degree and several years’ experience working in a progressive information technology environment. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
Demonstrated experience in leading a technical team, developing people and human resource management is required. The successful candidate must be an effective oral and written communicator with a high level of initiative and motivation; possess strong change management and strategic planning skills and experience, along with demonstrated understanding and knowledge of server infrastructure challenges. The candidate must demonstrate significant problem-solving skills and be a skilled relationship builder with experience in creating and maintaining professional networks. Must have experience working independently and have handled multiple tasks in a demanding and dynamic environment.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.
Pay Grade: EC 12
Salary Range: $3,051.06 - $3,832.44 Bi-Weekly
