Reports to the Supervisor for fixed equipment.
What you will do:
Assess the mechanical integrity and safety of equipment and executing the inspection needs for Fort Saskatchewan Nitrogen Operations (FNO)
Maintain the pressure equipment integrity management system at FNO, working with the Wholesale Inspection center of excellence team as needed
Inspect pressure vessels, pressure piping, pressure relief devices and tanks
Monitor corrosion of vessels and pressure piping systems
Conduct nondestructive testing on pressure and non-pressure equipment as defined in PEIMS manual and support integrity assessments of plant equipment
Compose technical reports
Complete data entry in the Inspection Management Database (Visions)
Support fitness for service evaluations
Support Project Groups in identifying inspection requirements for pressure equipment related project. Perform inspection work on field and shop fabrications as defined in Inspections and Tests Plans
What you will bring:
High School Diploma
A Technical Institute Certificate or a Journeyman Trade Certificate in a related discipline
API 510 Certification with a current ABSA in service pressure vessel inspector designation
Strong verbal and written communication skills combined with a demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and Quality Assurance Programs
Knowledge/experience with Risk Based Inspection (RBI)
API 570, API 653 and ABSA IPV Certifications are strongly preferred
Knowledge of Visions asset management software preferred
