Title: Caddie Master
Reports to: Golf Services Manager / Head Golf Professional

As a Caddie Master at Cabot, you will be responsible for training and supervising caddies, assigning / tracking loops, communicating with golfers, Golf Service Supervisors, and staff, and mentoring caddies while ensuring that our guests enjoy their experience.

Core Accountabilities:
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Manage and execute Caddie Central software system, maintaining an up to date Caddie roster
  • Scheduling Caddies for resort and non-resort guests
  • Matching Caddies with their players before scheduled tee times
  • Communicating to Caddies and Guest Services Supervisors of any changes/cancellations to tee times
  • Oversee training of new Caddies on both courses; Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs
  • Oversee weighing golf bags to ensure they meet Cabot’s weight restrictions (under 25lb)
  • Selling the Caddie program to resort guests, groups, and public golfers through face-to-face interaction
  • Utilizing Microsoft Office applications as needed in addition to computerized tee sheets, and other software
  • Communicating effectively with all departments throughout the resort
  • Maintaining contact with the Pro Shops and Guest Service Supervisors to ensure guest needs for Caddies are met
  • Attend the weekly Events meeting, and co-ordinate any groups’ caddies and payment process with the administration team
  • Assisting in the development of Cabot’s Junior Caddie program
  • Assisting with tournament operations as needed
  • Teaching private and or group lessons, helping with the Junior program, and any golf schools.
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Available for the entire season; May - October
  • Member in Good Standing with PGA of Canada
  • PGA of Canada Teaching Certified
  • High school diploma
  • Positive attitude and excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple duties under pressure
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Ability to work flexible hours – weekends and evenings as required
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Valid driver’s license
