General Summary.....

Assist the supervisor in the daily management of the activities of the determined department. Including coordinating the activities of employees from different departments and replacing them as needed.

This position will be responsible for...…..

In addition to his regular duties as a warehouse attendant (level 3), coordinate the activities of employees in his sector and distribute the tasks so as to maintain an efficient and planned workload according to customer needs;

Recommend measures to improve performance and increase efficiency while ensuring strict compliance with safety rules;

Coordinate training and / or train employees in different tasks;

Ensure that FedEx Supply Chain policies and procedures are followed;

Assist the supervisor in certain activities such as: performance evaluation, application of disciplinary measures.

Education/Experience

Probation period successfully completed at FedEx Supply Chain;
Excellent performance and safety records in their current position (no disciplinary measures whatsoever and no problem of absenteeism;
Good knowledge of the Coteau-du-Lac distribution center (work areas, types of activities);
Previous experience of 3 to 5 years in warehouse;
Sense of initiative and organization;
Customer service oriented;
Demonstrates leadership;
Good listening and communication skills.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

Ability to sit/walk/stand for up to 10 hours per day.

Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Ability to lift/carry items less than 25 pounds.
