The Clarence-Rockland Family Health Team (CRFHT) is located in a state-of-the-art, fully computerized medical centre 30 minutes east of Ottawa. We are a true “team” where everybody – physicians, nurses and allied health care professionals – works together to provide comprehensive, accessible and coordinated primary health care to the residents of Clarence-Rockland.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated person to fulfil a part-time clinical psychologist position within our dynamic and supportive interdisciplinary team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Formal and informal evaluation of individual behaviour, functioning and mental health
  • Conducting psychodiagnostic assessments
  • Strong delivery of mental health counselling and diagnosis as well as providing recommendations relating to treatment plans in an interdisciplinary setting
  • Psychological interventions with individuals;
  • Providing psychoeducation on common difficulties (e.g. sleep hygiene) in a group-based format
  • Management of psychological factors and problems associated with physical conditions and disease (e.g., diabetes, heart disease, stroke, chronic pain);
  • Counselling patients with a wide range of needs to address symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, stress, social isolation and struggles with work/life balance
  • Providing clinical supervision to PhD students


  • Registered, or eligible for registration, with the College of Psychologists of Ontario with declared areas of competency in Clinical Psychology; declared areas of competency in Health Psychology considered an asset
  • Doctorate in Psychology from a CPA or APA accredited clinical psychology program
  • Exceptional clinical skills and compassionate care
  • Able to communicate fluently, verbally and in writing, in both French and English
  • Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Superior social, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

Hours of work:

  • 22.5 to 30 hours per week to be negotiated with the successful candidate

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Salary: $70.00 to $83.00 /hour
