Under general supervision and consistent with the Credit Union’s mission, vision, guiding principles and brand statements, provides quality service to business and retail members and contributes to the success of the branch through the achievement of established retail sales goals and the application of member relationship management tools and techniques in accordance with branch-specific procedures. Completes the sale of credit union deposit and lending products and services to non-portfolioed members including registered products and basic retail lending products. Administers estates. Actively participates in the execution of product and service campaigns. Provides support and advice to other credit union staff.
Permanent Full-Time – 37 Hours per week
Monday, Tuesday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Wednesday, Thursday: 9:30am – 5:00pm
Friday: 9:45am – 6:15pm
Note: These hours may be altered due to operational requirements.
Secondary school diploma plus a minimum of approximately 2 years related sales and service experience with EKC or another financial institution in a Member Service Representative role (or equivalent) plus:
o TLC Teller Series
o TLC Registered Plan Series
o TLC Estate Series
o TLC Best Series
o TLC Lending Series
o TLC Business Account Series
Candidates must also demonstrate the following:
proficiency in written and oral communication skills and the ability to project a courteous, professional image
working knowledge of credit union deposit products and services, and familiarity with the features and benefits of basic retail lending products
success in responding to member enquiries and providing a high level of member service
a sound working knowledge of the current banking system;
personal computer literacy with demonstrated keyboarding skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word or other word processing program and email package
working knowledge of a spreadsheet program
Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Successful applicants will also be required to upgrade skills on a yearly basis by taking related courses as detailed in the Personal Learning and Development section of the PEP document for this position.
