There is currently one (1) permanent full time position available which is located in Maple Ridge.

An eligibility list may be established for temporary and permanent vacancies in the North Fraser Service Delivery Area, which includes the following locations: Burnaby, Maple Ridge, Coquitlam, Port Moody, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam, subject to office space and operational requirements.

The Roots Practitioner will explore the Indigenous child’s family and community for the purpose of cultural connections, relationships and permanency. The position is responsible to develop and facilitation programs in order to support cultural connections for children and their families and to promote cultural understanding for caregivers and staff.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

Human service diploma/certificate.
Experience working with Indigenous families and communities.
Preference may be given to applicants with experience working with Indigenous children and youth in care.
Preference may be given to applicants who have Indigenous heritage (First Nations, Metis or Inuit) with the required combination of education and experience

Willingness Statements:
May be required to work evening/weekends.
May be required to regularly travel in remote locations.
May be required to use own vehicle on an expense account basis with appropriate insurance coverage.
Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 BC driver's licence.
