Parléview’s Event Logistics and Support Coordinator will be working on a very exciting government project in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. We will be hiring one logistics and support coordinator to be onsite at our 5 week event (May 26 - June 26, 2020) who will be responsible for assisting with and supporting the day to day operations and execution of the event.

You are ideal for this position if you have experience in large scale events, have a strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. You will be situated in an indoor and outdoor environment and will be asked to assist with any and all on-site event support, including managing the registration area, inventory levels of various supplies, following up with vendors for scheduled deliveries and any other support where needed.

Position Role & Responsibility

  • Report directly to the Logistics and Support Officer and work closely with the Health and Safety Officer as part of a larger team of event professionals
  • Assist in the day to day maintenance of ongoing site operations including but not limited to vendor management, participant needs, and venue requirements
  • Assist in the coordinator of shipments both inbound and outbound
  • Be required to live and work in Dartmouth from May 26 – June 26, 2020; Role requires Monday to Friday availability 6am – 6pm, however in rare occasion tasks may occur outside of this scope, you are expected to be available as required
  • Per diems and accommodations will be provided to those located outside of the Greater Halifax/Dartmouth Area

To Apply, You Must Meet the Below Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in events, large outdoor event experience is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Exceptionally well organized with the ability to prioritize in a changing environment while still meeting deadlines; highly reliable
  • Comfortable in a Military environment
  • Government client involvement is an asset
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset
  • If not local, willing to live onsite at the event for up to 5 weeks (per diems and accommodations will be provided for those who are not from Dartmouth)
  • Willing to go through security clearances and a background check
  • Hold a valid Canadian Passport
