In 1922, Roy Leggat left the family farm in Stoney Creek, Ontario, and with a $3,000-loan from his mother, laid the foundation for what one day would become the Leggat Auto Group.

The Leggat Auto Group Family of Dealerships is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead our growing team!

Reporting to the CEO, you are an individual who develops relationships and teams, enjoys interacting with customers, takes accountability and ownership for all aspects of the dealerships business. As coach, you lead by example and ensure your direct reports understand how to achieve success and contribute to the overall dealership results. Your demonstrated success extends to your experience in building talent within your various teams, achieving and exceed targets and continuing to review the business for enhancements and efficiencies.

Responsibilities
Responsible for profitability in all departments in the dealership
Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve monthly and annual forecasts for all departments
Hire, mentor and monitor the performance of all department heads
Maintain superior customer service (CSI) through dealership culture
Review critical metrics daily for every department and make necessary adjustments to increase production
Assist in developing an advertising and marketing plan
Work directly with employees and customers to develop relationships and help bridge disconnects in the sales process
Build rapport with customers to build a base of referrals to establish customer network
Provide training and support to all staff
Assist sales managers in closing deals and attracting more customers
Qualifications
Consistent track record of successfully meeting and exceeding goals
Minimum 3-5 years of automotive management experience
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Experience in managing diverse teams
Understanding of inventory control
Strong computer and phone skills
Professional appearance and work ethic
Ambitious, goal oriented, and able to work within a dynamic environment
Valid driver’s license and OMVIC license
