Job Description:
We are currently looking for individuals who are passionate about wine and are dedicated to delivering world class guest experiences alongside of like minded team members to fill the positions of Tasting Bar Associates at our Great Estates Wine Experience Centre in Penticton, BC.

Key Responsibilities:
Greeting and Engaging Guests
Presenting Wine - Conducting tastings, suggesting food pairings, providing wine education
Providing Recommendations for wine routes throughout the Okanagan to ensure the guests experience what the Okanagan has to offer
Proactively supporting our Wine Club and its members with wine club pick-ups, exclusive tastings and experiences, answering questions and inquiries
Stocking wine and retail items
Answering phones and directing guests appropriately
Set-up and tear down for tasting events and special event programs (on and off-site)
Other duties as required

Job Requirements:
Previous Winery, hospitality or tasting room experience including exposure to International wines
WSET Education an Asset
Knowledge of the Okanagan Wine Region an asset
Self -motivated with the ability to set goals while working independently
Strong presentation and communication skills, educate and engage a diverse visitor base
Willingness and desire to grow within the wine field of study and to continue one’s education
Ability to learn and use multiple accounting, inventory and sales programs effectively
Proven problem solving and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to deal effectively with customers and peers.
Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 45 pounds.
