The Operations Department currently has a position available for a Full-Time Outbound Warehouse Manager (nights) reporting to the Director of Operations. This position will be responsible to assist the Director of Operations in ensuring that the Outbound functions of Warehouse Operations are met, including the ability to provide guidance and support to the Outbound Supervisors.
Hours: Approximately 4:00 pm to 1:00 am (subject to change due to business needs)
Ensure the safety of all associates through the consistent monitoring of processes, timely reporting, investigating and correcting of all issues.
Ensure that all orders are prepared in a timely fashion while adhering to the standards and processes.
Coordinate all operations to identify key processes to be monitored and modified accordingly to create a more efficient and effective system.
Recommend and follow through on areas that require improvement.
Ensure that necessary steps are taken to avoid any unnecessary shrink, overtime and attendance issues.
Provide direction and assistance to Supervisors and Associates as required.
Ensure all reports are completed in a timely fashion.
Ensure compliance with all Safety, Legislation, CBA, and Sysco Policies.
Commitment to Service Excellence. Asking for feedback and sharing positive stories.
Effectively communicate with other departments to achieve desired results.
Participating in and/or leading various meetings (shift, departmental, company and safety).
Performing other duties as assigned by Senior Operations Management.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Minimum community college education or equivalent in Business Administration with 3—5 years of warehousing/inventory experience.
Proven ability to supervise people in terms of their development, training and motivation.
Effective problem solving, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills and an affinity for numbers.
Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
A keen interest in learning and the ability to recommend and implement solutions.
Familiarity with SWMS an asset.
The ability to work successfully in a team environment.
Familiarity with labour relations administration.
