Job Description & Requirements
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Technician will be mainly responsible for performing accounting-related tasks.
The incumbent is expected to:
Enter data in Acomba accounting system
Perform bank reconciliations
Generate payroll in ADP Workforce Now system
Enter data and generate payments to suppliers (accounts payable)
Perform administrative tasks related to premium collection and distribution to insurers
Track capital assets
Analyze General Ledger accounts
Produce monthly reports on the different taxes
Make bank deposits
Track accounts receivable
Perform daily data entry in the cash flow file
Perform administrative tasks related to claims payment
Take part in budget process
Perform any other related tasks as requested by the supervisor
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
College diploma in business, option finance or accounting or Bachelor Degree in Accounting
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Minimum 3 years of experience with accounting and payroll software (Acomba and ADP, major assets)
Ability to work independently, thoroughness, discipline
Ability to introduce and implement improvements
Command of English and French, both spoken and written
Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in group insurance, an asset
