Fresh City is hiring an EVP Finance, People and IT. We are looking for someone awesome to round out our senior management team for our new accelerated phase of growth. Youll play a critical role within our senior management team and report to the CEO. You will have several direct and dotted line reports. It is a very exciting time at Fresh City with significant organic and acquisition-led growth across multiple channels. Our explosive growth over the last two years has outpaced our existing systems so we are in an intensive phase of building internal capacity to manage and continue that growth. Fresh City creates a better life through food. Founded in 2011, we are an urban farm and omni-channel retailer of seasonal, sustainable and organic fresh food. Each day we make and bake exceptionally sourced meals, salads, snacks, breads, pastries and breakfasts from scratch. We operate two sister brands including Mabels Bakery, a popular bakery producing artisan breads and pastries and The Healthy Butcher, a pioneer in organic and 100% grass-fed beef. We farm in Downsview Park, where we also operate a farmer incubator program, as well as at Baka. We have eight retail locations between our three brands and deliver to thousands of homes each week throughout the Greater Toronto Area. We proudly employ over 250 staff.

Be a strategic partner to the senior management team and the CEO for all aspects of finance, IT and human resources.
Oversee the human resources function to uphold Fresh City values, ensure compliance with health, safety and employment laws and lead the recruiting, onboarding, training, leadership development and performance review.
Oversee the continued implementation and optimization of our ERP across the company.
Oversee all IT infrastructure and manage internal IT personnel and third-party vendors.
In collaboration with the senior management team, set comprehensive goals for performance in the organization and drive KPI creation and reporting across the organization.
Prepare materials and reports for the Board of Directors, assist in the financial analysis of potential M&A transactions and assist CEO with capital raising.
Identify strategies to lower cost of capital across the organization.
Leverage tax credits, grants, and other low-cost capital opportunities.

You have superb written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organization skills, interpersonal skills and excellent attention to detail.
Degree or designation in business, accounting or finance (CPA, CFA, MBA, BBA, BComm etc.).
Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience.
Experience with and the ability to resolve complex technical accounting, tax, and legal issues
Experience selecting and working with third-party vendors
Experience with managing the implementation of enterprise software, ideally an ERP .
Very Nice to Haves
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central.
Experience in food retail, food processing or e-commerce.
