Englobe is seeking a Business Partner in finance to join its Edmonton or Calgary office. Your main task will participate in the financial project review process and in the financial results of your business unit. You will be responsible for teams in Western Canada. The candidate will be the resource person for the Deltek VantagePoint system.
Analyse the profitability of projects, evaluate the revenue and the work in progress and identify potential risks and opportunities.
Collaborate and participate in financial project review meetings.
Support project managers and directors with the analysis of various financial reports and identify variances
On a monthly basis provide variance analysis for actuals vs. budget and forecast, focus is the business
Provide regular weekly reports to the VP of Operations
Communicate with VP and directors through weekly meetings.
Prepare various analysis as required by the management
Maintain and update various systems and databases regarding projects
Participate in the month-end and year-end close process for financial statements and certify all revenue is properly taken based on revenue recognition policy.
Participate in the annual budget and financial forecast process.
Verify/validate project opening and project modifications.
Assume the role of super user for the accounting system, billing, training and various management tools.
Supervise and support the billing team as required and the supervision of financial analysts.
Conduct performance reviews for subordinates, participate in setting objectives and identifying staff training requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a qualified accounting designation (CPA).
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of Deltek software (asset).
Strong analytical skills with advanced use of spreadsheets and Microsoft Office.
Available to travel to other offices across Western Canada.
