Part Time / Per Diem
(Approximately 2 – 2.5 days per week)
New Heights School & Learning Services runs a unique specialized program tailored to students with autism spectrum disorder, or with similar learning differences. New Heights is a play-based program that utilizes the strengths and interests of each student to address developmental goals. We are currently looking for one part-time registered Psychologist for our school program (Gr 1-12).
As part of a multidisciplinary team, this position will include providing intervention, counselling and consultation services in the school with an emphasis on perspective taking and interpersonal relationships. The position is for the 2020-2021 school year.
Professional registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists
Current professional liability insurance
Experience working with children/youth/young adults with autism spectrum disorder or similar social and learning challenges
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to be self-directed, flexible, highly motivated and to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
