As Foreman, you will assume a “tools-off” leadership role on site, bridging the gap between management and site employees. You have a strong working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and practices, and a solid understanding of how projects are built. This opportunity is a great fit for someone with developed leadership and interpersonal skills, and is working towards becoming an Assistant Superintendent.

Ventana typically has 20-25 projects under construction at any given time, and we build a variety of projects including multi-family residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, civic, and green buildings – LEED® certified. We are hiring for our projects located in the lower mainland, including North Vancouver, Vancouver, New Westminster, Burnaby, Port Coquitlam, Surrey, and White Rock.

Foreman Responsibilities:
Coordinate and delegate tasks and responsibilities to work crew
Supervise, develop, and mentor workers
Ensure that plans and schedules are being followed
Monitor work performance and attendance
Ensure that quality standards are being met
Recognize, address, and resolve issues among crew members
Facilitate and promote a safe, inclusive, and team environment

Foreman Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in construction
Commercial construction experience
In-depth overall construction knowledge
Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints
