  • Review Contracts and Tender Package (Drawings, Specifications, and Scope).
  • Spearhead Kick-off Meeting and convey minuted project schedule, budget, and deliverables to all project departments’ stake-holders.
  • From time to time, issue RFQ and/or provide Erection Estimate (manhours and budget) and sequence of erection/ delivery before production.
  • Raise timely RFQ and manage and/or price Changes from IFT to IFC and succeeding Dwg. Revisions and S.I – Issue Change Orders.
  • Manage and Liaise with Detailing/ Engineering, Procurement, Production, Vendors and Client/s to ensure approvals/ process/ deliverables turn-around are always on-time.
  • Create up-to-date project binder inclusive of Budget, Schedule, ITP, Quality reports and NCRs, Change Order Log, Transmittal Log, and daily site progress reports and photos.
  • From time to time, help estimation department perform project take-off, fabrication estimate, and/or erection estimate and review of project specification.
  • Communicate fabrication errors experience on-site and provide positive recommendation (for present/ future) to improve errors and erection.
  • Invoice client and follow-up AR inclusive of Change Orders.
  • Generate project close-out documents for each project for internal and external audit, inclusive of lesson’s learnt (for internal use).
  • Maintain positive and empowered relationship with all stake-holders, specially clients – with end goal of having a repeat customer experience.
  • Exceed company/ client/ project expectations and KPIs.

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering and/or Project Management (P.Eng. or PMP or equivalent is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge in Structural Steel Estimation (Take-off, Fabrication, Erection) is a plus.
  • Strong Knowledge and experience in Structural Steel Erection and Fabrication is a plus.
  • Detail Oriented, Good Oral and Written communication skills and has good skills in project documentation.
  • People’s champion who requires minimum supervision and is a great team-player.
  • Knowledgeable in Contract Administration and Legislated Construction Acts in Canada (CCDCs, Old and New Lien Acts, etc).
  • Self-starter, reliable and consistent.
