  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Provide detailed estimates, risk assumptions, execution plans for tenders
  • Setup and start projects including coordination with building departments, government regulatory bodies, engineers, architects and other consultants
  • Manage closeout of projects, ensuring completion and resolution of any outstanding construction or client issues
  • Conduct or attend site meetings
  • Create, manage and maintain job schedules using Microsoft Project
  • Liaison with clients, sub trades and suppliers for scheduling, coordination and pricing
  • Manage client billings, approvals and expedite change order approvals
  • Review of estimate and job costs
  • Assist with the evaluation of sub-trade pricing and negotiate sub-contract price
  • Investigate potential high-risk situations, provide solutions to the best interest of the project and company
  • Ensure all team members have read and understood project objectives, including project specifications / agreements and head contract requirements.
  • Develop cost saving methods
  • Communicate with project coordinators and field staff
  • Establish and monitor construction work schedules including “look ahead” schedules
  • Lead handover meetings of newly assigned projects


  • Experience in acquiring City of Calgary permits and Indemnifications experience is an asset
  • Experience estimating indemnified projects
  • Experience estimating both lump sum and unit rate
  • Experience in temporary shutdown and public notifications would be an asset
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within the construction industry
  • 3+ years with direct experience working with earthworks, underground utilities
  • Proven track record of successful project management of major underground projects
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and ensure work prioritization to achieve them
  • Strong critical thinking, trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with multiple levels of ownership
  • Ability to work long hours with some weekends and overtime
  • Knowledge of B2W and Vista Viewpoint an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point & Schedule)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must have a clean driving record and provide commercial drivers abstract with resume
